I spray painted the frame warm yellow... or use a color you have on hand.
After the paint was dray, I used an antiquing glaze to add some depth and interest.
Just wipe on a little bit of glaze and then wipe it off with a clean rag.
You can find the glaze at Lowes. One bottle will last you a LONG time.
I've had mine for over a year and it's still half full.
The result is a stunning gift for any women on Mother's Day.
On Mother's Day, keep in mind those around you that may not be married, widows, women who don't have any children yet and single moms. A card or small gift might mean the world to them on Mother's Day.
Clint and I were married for 4 1/2 years before we had Brennan. We desperately wanted to have children. Two years after we were married, I had an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured. The Mother's Days that followed that event were especially hard. I felt loss and sadness... all I wanted was to be a mother... and it wasn't happening.
During those lonely months, I found a quote that really helped me: " Of all the words they could have chosen to define her role and her essence, both God the Father and Adam called Eve “the mother of all living”—and they did so before she ever bore a child. Like Eve, our motherhood began before we were born." Sheri L. Dew
I encourage you to seek out those who may need your love this Mother's Day.
The printable has both a 5"x7' card and a 4"x6" card.
