CHOCOLATE MOUSSE ~ by BETHY KROCKER

I spent years looking for a rich chocolate mousse dessert that didn't take all day to make!  I realized it was right under my nose when I modified a pie recipe I had.  Now this is my go to recipe when I need a sweet chocolate dessert that will impress!!  It's easily doubled and would make a nice dessert for Valentines Day!

Easy Chocolate Mousse

1 eight ounce package cream cheese (very soft)
1/2 cup chocolate syrup (the kind you use for ice-cream)
3/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips melted
1 8oz container frozen whipped topping thawed
mini chocolate chips (optional)

Beat cream cheese and syrup well.

Beat in melted chocolate chips.  Add whipped topping and mix well. Should be thick enough to cling to beater.

Pipe into serving cups.  Let set at least one hour or overnight. Decorate with mini chocolate chips if desired.  Makes 8 1/4 pint cups.  (Also tastes wonderful frozen.)
